After freelance writing for nearly ten years for dozens of local, regional and national publications, Jennifer Heyns decided to take the next step and apply her writing skills to something more involved and personal. The result was a personal memoir book that has become a very timely guide to navigating the world of healthcare that every American can benefit from. Bargaining for Our Lives demonstrates how anyone, regardless of health insurance status, can acquire quality, affordable care in a nation where personal service is often compromised while costs are rampant.
While the inspiration for her book came from her family's experiences in dealing with healthcare while uninsured for the past eight years, Jennifer finds fresh inspiration every day right outside her door in the glorious scenery of the hunt country property she shares with her husband and two quickly growing sons. She's been a resident of Virginia for 24 years and earned her B.S. in Business Management from George Mason University.
